Visiting our websites
When you visit our websites, our server temporarily stores each request in a log file. The following data is recorded without any action on your part:

• the country from which you accessed the server,
• the name of your Internet access provider.

The IP address is analysed only in the event of attacks on the www.branders.ch infrastructure and for statistical purposes.

Data security
Personal information is kept strictly confidential and is not sold to or shared with third parties. In close cooperation with our hosting providers, we have taken the necessary security measures to protect your data against outside access, data loss, misuse and falsification. We reserve the right to share data with other affiliates and with service providers, if any, within the limits prescribed by data protection regulations.

Use of Instagram
Instagram plug-ins are built into our websites. These are supplied by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. This will enable Instagram to link your visit to our sites to your user account.

Use of Vimeo
Our websites incorporate plug-ins for the Vimeo video portal of Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. Each time a page offering one or more Vimeo video clips is called up, a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server in the United States. When this happens, information about your visit and your IP address is stored there. Interaction with the Vimeo plug-ins (such as clicking the start button) also sends this information to Vimeo where it is stored.

If you have a Vimeo user account and do not wish for Vimeo to collect your data through our websites and link it to the member data stored at Vimeo, you must log out from Vimeo before visiting the websites. Vimeo also invokes the Google Analytics tracker by means of an iFrame in which the video is displayed. This process uses Vimeo’s own tracking system, to which we do not have access. Our websites contain “embedded” videos from Vimeo or from Vimeo channels which we operate. However, these merely enable the connection to Vimeo. Use of Google Analytics
Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files stored on your computer which enable analysis of your use of the websites. The information generated by the cookies on your use of the websites is generally transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. If IP anonymisation is enabled on our websites, however, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other countries which are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
